A lot of us are so caught up in our lives on the fast track that we barely have any time to work out and stay fit. And it's an agreed fact that exercising everyday is not just good for your physical health, but for your mental health as well. Look no further, we’ve got the perfect solution for you! Here’s a list of seven 20-minute exercises that will get you sweating in a jiffy. And the amazing part is that if 20 minutes seems too long, you can do these exercises for as much time as you can spare.


High-Intensity Interval Training is proving to be a really effective workout routine. Basically, you alternate between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity, and the routine is very beneficial and effective. For example, you run – not jog – for three minutes, then walk for two. Doing this in a series will definitely get you fit in no time! This video will show you an easy HIIT workout routine.

2. Tabata

This routine has been described as a ‘quick-fix fitness regime’ by many trainers. It is a type of HIIT, the only difference being that you raise your heart rate in four minutes. In Tabata, you do hard push-ups for 20 seconds, and then rest for ten. A set of eight, and you’ve got yourself a routine! There are many Tabata Apps available for your phones or tablets. 4. Surya namaskar

When in doubt, turn to yoga. Many famous actors and actresses swear by it. You’re probably thinking "Yoga? Doesn’t that need a lot of time?" Think again! Surya namaskar is a good start because it takes just a few minutes to complete. This routine is an excellent warm-up too, because it stretches out every muscle in your body. You should start with 12 repetitions, and if you actually have 20 minutes, you can probably do more.

5. Zumba

For those of you who just can’t stop tapping your feet to the sound of music, this is exactly what you’ve been looking for! Zumba combines the steps of Latin American dance forms and aerobics to the beat of Latin American dance music. Watch the video and pick up some fun steps to get yourself into shape!
