Magari is a new and unique, high-end furniture and furnishings store. Just off CMH road, stands a distinct red brick building (right next to Sapna Book House). This design house caters to the needs of every furniture connoisseur -- someone who adores minimalistic accessories, that will give their space a sense of belonging. Further, the store's idea is to provide a one-stop-shop solution to all your interior design and decor needs. If you're looking for lighting accessories, wallpaper, rugs, wooden flooring, bedding, wardrobes, kitchen solutions, show pieces and more, this is the place for you. The furniture at Magari is locally produced, building a healthy ecosystem with artisans.
As we pushed open the rustic blue doors, we walked into a world of aesthetics. The tastefully decorated store, gave us a sense of comfort, and made us feel right at home. The store is the brainchild of businessmen Karun Mathew, Vishal Wadhwa and architect Amitha Madan. The store is two-storeys-tall and has furniture on the ground floor, rug furnishings on the first floor, and kitchen accessories on the second floor.
Magari is in a strategic partnership with Yavanika -- a collection of trendy designer fabrics for rugs and drapes. As we walked up to the first floor, we got an idea of how a house can come alive with key accessories like drapes, throws, cushions, upholstery and wallpaper, if they are assembled in the right way. Samples of trending and modern tiles by Parador, a brand from Europe is displayed in one corner, while a striking collection of hand-tufted and hand-woven rugs from Rug Republic are hung beside it. The second floor houses Bofi Kitchens, a Malaysian brand, which is exclusively available at Magari. Bofi blends functionality with design, and creative features that can turn everyday cooking into a delightful experience. Also, the Mora range of wardrobes are contemporary in style, with an emphasis on attention to detail and fit in beautifully with the look and style that the store is trying to achieve.
Interestingly, what caught our eye (about the pieces) is that the joinery in all of them are uncovered, making it unfinished, giving it a retro-chic look. This is one of the trends that Magari hopes to bring into style. The other trend they have decided to bring back is the cane furniture. Cane is mostly associated with furniture of the early days, but here you will find cane mixed with modern furnishings like sofas, chairs, table, cabinets and more. This way, the pieces seem timeless.
The other interesting thing that this space offers is customisation. Choose from their extensive collection and you can mix-and-match whatever you like to suit your taste and style. Further, they offer complete customisation of spaces done by their in-house design team, as well. All this, made available to you at extremely affordable rates.
We love great design and creativity, and we are sure you do, too. Head to Magari for its design sensibilities, creativity concepts, understanding of personalisation and affordability.
